Using a Xanita board to try out the triangular folding.
My first attempt of 1:1 mock dimension is 400,400,400mm. The measurement of the chair was prefect but there's problem in the structure of the model. This design has shown that it is not enough to hold the weight of a person when he/she leans back.
I have to re-structure the back of the chair. For further development I need to focus on structuring the chair.

My second attempt was to try folding my design in a scale down Xanita baord. I fail doing so due to the thickness of the board. It seem impossible to fold the chair out from the Xanita board.
FAILED attempt!!! I carried on doing mock up based on the same design I added a back cover to the chair so that it can hold the weight of a person. However, I do not like the design of the chair. It just looked squarish all over the side.
Followed on, I tired to hold the sides of the chair with a triangular form and create a back cover for the chair.
Mock up two. This time the structure of the chair is strong and is able to hold one's weight when one's lean on the back rest. Howerver, I do not like the form of the chair.
Another Attempt of the scale down mock-up. I have use a triangular locking system to hold the chair structure together. This make the chair look less blockish and it has interesting angle and form to it. But..... with the limitation of the material the template that I created cannot produce the chair. So how???
I looked through the designs I have created and started looking at the different views of the chair rather than the side view. I found a method in folding the chair.
